Diced fresh tomatoes add color and flavor to the dish.

- Preheat the oven to 350°F.
- Cook the ground beef in a large skillet over medium-high heat until browned and cooked through.
- Drain any excess fat.
- To the skillet with the beef, add chili powder, cumin, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper.
- Cook for another 2-3 minutes, stirring constantly.
- On a baking sheet, arrange the tortilla chips in a single layer.
- Sprinkle the tortilla chips with the shredded cheddar cheese.
- Spread the beef mixture on top of the cheese and chips.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly, in a preheated oven.
- Remove the nachos from the oven and sprinkle with the diced tomato.
- Serve right away.
